WHY: CONTEND is an invitation to college students in the Grand Rapids area to start this school-year out by intentionally CENTERING our hearts in Jesus. When we make space in our hearts and schedules, He loves to meet us there. We also want to PRAY FOR our campuses and fellow students—to know the life-transforming Jesus and depend on Him during these difficult times.

WHAT:  👉 We set aside the week of Sept 12-19 to pray in The Prayer Garage using THIS online Prayer Calendar. SIGN UP for one-or-two-hour slots by yourself or with a friend or group. (When you sign up, you will receive an automatic email with instructions for how to get to the Prayer Garage and the key-code to access it for your prayer time.)

WHEN: Sunday Sept 12 at 8pm to Sunday Sept 19 at 10pm.

What is the Prayer Garage?

The Prayer Garage is a permanent prayer room on the West Side of GR for retreat and intercession where anyone can reserve times to pray any time. It is hosted by 24-7 Prayer GR whose mission is to revive the church and rewire the culture. We partner with others in the GR area for prayer, mission, and justice. The Prayer Garage is our gift to the city as a place for people to encounter Jesus and find rhythm spending time with Him outside the normal distractions of everyday life.
